A small game developed in Construct 4 as part of a university project.
Software: Pixelorama; Construct4; Adobe Photoshop.
This game was developed as a university project and is still a work in progress, with further improvements and additional stages planned. The current build can be viewed on Construct Arcade or itch.io.
For the final project, we were given the following requirements: develop a point-and-click game featuring at least two locations, each containing a minimum of ten interactable objects; a fail condition; a way to complete the game; at least two animations; and at least two sound effects.
Special attention was given to the game’s visual style and environmental storytelling, aiming to create a playful and approachable atmosphere. The main inspiration for this project was the classic arcade game Frogger, but I wanted to give it my own twist by using a capybara instead — an animal commonly found in the park near where I used to live in Brazil.
The game’s title came from a Finnish friend, who explained that “vaara” means “danger” in Finnish. We ended up combining it with the Portuguese word for capybara, “capivara,” mixing “Capy” + “Vaara” to create the name “CAPYVAARA.”

During development, I focused on creating the game’s visual identity, interactive objects and scene composition, while also refining the gameplay flow and overall user experience.
This project also helped me develop my skills in level design, interaction design, sprite creation and event-based game logic using Construct 4.
Thanks for watching (and playing!)
